A Himalayan salt lamp is a light fixture that consist of 4 parts. A large rock of pure Himalayan salt, a wooden base, a clear light bulb and an electrical cable. The salt crystals used to make these salt lamps are carefully inspected to ensure that the light can shine evenly throughout the lamp. Once the perfect crystal is found, it is hand carved to preserve its natural look. Most Himalayan salt lamps are carved to be more tall than wide in order to create a more appealing natural mountain look, after all, that’s where it originated 250 million years ago. The wood base is hand carved using authentic Neem wood but some may very in shape and size.
